An Official Mojang Cape: Common Cape (Grass Block Cape) The Common Cape, also known as the Grass Block Cape, was introduced by Mojang on May 6, 2025, and is inspired by the iconic grass block in Minecraft. To obtain this cape, players simply need to sign in to Minecraft Bedrock Edition with their Microsoft account between May 6, 2025, and May 5, 2026. Once signed in, the cape is automatically added to the player's inventory and is permanently available for use in both Bedrock and Java Editions. The opportunity to claim this free cape is still open until May 5, 2026, at 11:59 PM PDT, giving players nearly a year from the start date to log in and secure it.
